Feet Tattoos
Feet tattoos are exotic because they are rare but are gaining popularity nowadays especially among the women. A foot tattoo peaking out a sexy footwear can be undeniably attractive. They can look very striking as the foot is a nice, flat space for a tattoo. They are also suitable for those people who don’t want to flaunt their tattoos as feet are covered the majority of time.
Feet tattoos are rare because of three reasons. One is, tattoos on feet tend to be more painful. The general rule in tattooing is, if a tattoo is right over a bone, it will surely hurt more. The second reason is, ink migration is likely to happen with feet tattoos. This means that the ink will spread over time which will blur the tattoo design. The top of the foot will likely to have the least blurring. The last reason is, feet tattoos have longer healing periods. They are more prone to infections because feet are harder to keep clean than other parts of the clean. Also, a new tattoo should not be allowed to rub against clothing while it heals. This might sound like a simple matter, but not for feet tattoos! For feet tattoos, this means one can’t wear shoes or socks for a while.
To shorten the healing period for this kind of tattoo, it is recommended to wear flippers or other open footwear so nothing could rub against the tattoo. It is also best to have a foot tattoo done on summer as it will be cold without shoes on winter. Keeping the feet clean with regular foot bath will also lessen the chance of infection. It is not also advisable to swim until the tattoo is fully healed.
Popular feet tattoos include stars, vines, tribal, zodiac signs, skeletons, and butterflies among others. Others prefer to get identical tattoos on each foot. Some people get complimentary tattoos like a butterfly on one foot and flowers on one foot.
