Full Body Tattoos
A full body tattoo, also called a body suit, is a wide extent of tattoo that covers the entire torso or the whole body. It usually contains a single pattern, style or theme but there is no rule regarding this. This type of tattoo is associated with freak shows, circus performers, traditional Japanese and Maori tattooing.
Full body tattoos aren’t cheap. With the amount of time involved, and the skills needed to create a stunning body art, it is recommended to keep the money coming. It also involves a lot of pain, since many body parts hurt more when tattooed than others. These sensitive areas will also take longer to be done. Painful spots include the genitals, ribcage, kidney areas and anywhere where the skin is thinner and there’s not enough fat or muscle to cushion the impact between the skin and the bone. Because of this, one has to be prepared to sit for many sessions. A person can only take so much pain at one time.
It is also wise to choose a theme for a full body tattoo. A person can go Samoan or Japanese, animal or other unique ideas the wearer has. For those who want to go random, it is important for the wearer to tie all the pieces together. Random individual pieces would look great with appropriate background and ornamental pieces. It is also important to choose a tattoo artist one is comfortable with. Since you’ll be spending a lot of time with the artist, choose someone who is confident who can do the job and will be around long enough to complete the piece.
Famous people who have full body tattoos include Tom Leppard who covered his entire body with leopard spots; Lizard Man who combined tribal patterns with scales; Enigma who looked like a living blue puzzle; and Horace Ridler who was one of the first people to get a full body tattoo.
The human body is indeed a great canvass. Full body tattoos are for people with a never ending passion for ink and body art.
